Hi, Kim & everybody. Hope I'll be able to make the reunion. There's a possibility we'll be having a family reunion that same weekend so I'll just have to wait and see. My husband and I just returned from 8 days in London with my former roommate at Lakenheath, Doris (White) Buckhannon, and her husband; and her brother, Dave White, who graduated a year ahead of us, and another friend. We had a blast (other than the security hell and subsequent delays at the airports). Do you anticipate having many Lakenheath-ians (Lakenheath-ites??) from the classes of '71 and '72???

comment by Eric Berry

Great site Kim. I was @ Molesworth for 5-7th (67-70) and played in a band with Nick Johnson, Patrick Connors, and Vance Pickins called "Axis Fold." I hope to make the next reunion.

comment by Dean Baines

Thank you Kim for the excellent web site. I attended the Reunion in Dallas a few years ago, as I live in the area and had a blast. I missed the Las Vagas blast, but I hope to meet up with a lot of old friends at the next Reunion. Nothing like them good old day's...

We just returned from a pilgrimage to Alconbury and Peterborough........some things stood still in time and other things are gone, except in our memories. We will let Kim Morgan decide if you see the photos now on the website or at the 2010 reunion....Kim?

comment by Scott Weinstein/ Kocijan

Who's coming to New York City this summer?

comment by Kim Morgan-Biganski

The first Alconbury Reunion was held in 1985 in Dallas, TX. Since then, we have had four more reunions: 1990 in West Palm Beach, FL; 1992 and 1995 in Dallas, TX; and 2001 in West Palm Beach, FL. The reunions are emotionally rewarding experiences and just plain fun! Our group is unique and special, and after 33+ years, the bonds remain unbroken.

Hello Everybody-Is it just me or is everyone having a hard time going to sleep at night thinking about the reunion?Kim, bless your heart, I know that you are having a few sleepless nights-take it easy, it is going to work out. After all, we are your reunion family. I guess by now everybody knows that we are a very unique group. Most of us grew up in England and going to these reunions will bring back a lot of memories-that is what makes them special. I don't care if people make fun of us for being GI brats, it was worth it. See all of you at reunion 6 and again, a big thanks to you Kim. Jamie Hudson, class of '77.

comment by Kim Morgan

Carol! I can't believe Scott hasn't told you about this site or the six reunions we've had over the years! I just assumed you weren't interested. Peggy Rankin is on our email list. If you'd like, I'll forward your email address to her. Let me know at alconbury_reunion@yahoo.com

I attended Alconbury Elementary from 1970-1974.  One of my teachers was Mrs. Merrill (can\'t remember other names), classmates Ricky Black, Ted? Maria? (I must have Alzheimers!). I especially remember a field trip to York, and many trips to plays in London.  I have an older brother David and younger brother Dale.  Let me know if there is anyone out there that has the same memories.

comment by Pam Glore Reese

We were stationed on Alconbury from fall 62 until May 66. I went to Moleswoth from 62 until 64 and then went to Lakenheath 65/66. We have our 50th reunion in Tulsa this October and all are welcome. I am in touch with many that went to Lakenheath and also am good friends with several that attended Molesworth. It was quite a unique experience and we are all bonded by it. I've lost touch with some friends so if you remember me, please contact me to catch up. Life has been kind to me so I'm happy and enjoying all kinds of things. I hope you all are also.

comment by Scott Parvin

Went to Molesworth Elementary and lived at Alconbury 5th and 6th grade, '68 thru '69.  Miss Logan and Miss Jaekle were the 6th grade teachers.  I have the class picture, I'll post it somewhere one day.

This is a great site to reconnect with some of the best school friends we had .  I attended MJH from Nov \'65 - Nov \'68, Looking through the list I remember a few names, and love to hear from anyone who remembers me. I know my England years were the most fun years I had in school, all though at the time we didn\'t think so. I live in Miami, Fl. married with two grown children, going to retire in two years.

I attended Alconbury Elementary for half of 4th grade, Mr. Gearhardt (sp?) 1967, Molesworth Elementary for 5th grade, Miss Davis , 67-68, and 6th grade, Miss Logan/Gasho., 68-69.   Would love to hear from anyone who was there at the time, PLUS I have been searching for pictures of Molesworth ELEMENTARY during the 60\'s, but to no avail.  Would love to know if anyone has any to upload???

Wow. So strange to see some of these names after so many years. Just got done chatting with John Johnston on FB. that was also a blast from the past. Living in Montana with my husband of 15 years. 2nd marriage for me, 22 years the first time. So, 4 sons, and 13 grandchildren later, I am still kicking and working as a nurse, living life to the fullest. My sister Debbie also went to Lakenheath HS and also lives here in Montana. Roger is living in Cali. with is wife of 30 plus years. Life is good.

comment by Roheima Wood Stringer

I just found this site and think it is wonderful!! We were stationed in Alconbury from 70- 75.  My sister Karen & I went to Molesworth.  Those were some of the best times of my life.  I have lost touch with everyone from then.  It is really good to see some of the familiar names.  It makes the memories come flooding back.  We lived in off base housing (Huntingdon & Yaxley).  This is a great site!

comment by Julie Noble-Kerner

I have been scrolling through here and am drawn into a whole memory jog. I was the younger sister of Mark and Lori. I definitely remember so, so much from those years, although, have a hard time with some names. Sharing with you guys while I was in 4th-7th grade was such an influential time of life....always great memories. xo to all.

comment by Lori k. Johnson

Yesterday, my parents celebrated 57 years of marriage.  MSGT Louis Johnson was stationed at Alconbury AFB from 1972-1975.  I am a Molesworth/Alconbury Jr High School alumi, while my older sister Felecia Johnson-Paxton had the additional privilege of attending Lakenheath High School.  (even back then, she informed me that no matter where we ended up, the ONLY 'reunion' she would ever attend would be the one for Lakenheath High) The England experience turned out to be the best years of our developing adolecence years. Never to be forgotten. Truly this is why we travel to support these renunions. Upon arrival, the experience feels as if family has gathered.  Even though attendees are people whose only connection is a place randomly selected through some one elses military affiliation. The kiniship that takes place is nothing short of magical.  Amazing but true.   My sister and I remain continually grateful to the organizers and sustainers of this awesome event.  New York will be our third reunion and we would not miss it for anything.  I encourage all who can, to please join us.  You will not regret the time spent and like us, you too, will be hooked on the England 'family' get togethers. See you in New York 2017 LORI K JOHNSON-class of '78

comment by Jennifer (Stephens) Brady

I have wondered for years where I could contact people I went to school with at Molesworth. Though I stayed in trouble most of the time, those years of...66, 67,  68. They were so memerable and fun.  I recognise some of the names in the alumni list such as Debbie and Sherry Pastere..they were sisters. Mark Serrency..He and his brother came to Engand from somewhere in Florida and boy did my best friend Sheri McKnight have a big crush on Mark's brother (can't remember his first name).  Mark was always easy to talk into somekind of craziness Sherri would think up. And Vicki Church.  She was a very good girl and never in trouble and every one liked her.  I have 2 old molesworth yearbooks that I will get out and if I can figure how to put them on this site, I will ( for some of us ole timers).Just another short story.  Sheri and I were in some class sitting in the back . The teacher had to step out , well sheri and I snuck out a window and ran over to the building where the office was.. snuck into the girls restroom, stopped up all the sinks with toilet paper along with all the toilets, flushed the toilets and turned all the water on snuck back into class before the teaher came back. The halls were flooded! They thought it was done by sheri and I but could not prove it .  Think we were bored??

comment by Carol Comer Thornton

I had no idea about this website. I have often wondered where everyone is and how in the world I would ever be able to see people again. Anyone know where Nicola Smith and Peggy Rankin are? What about Marshea Hart?

I attended Molesworth Jr/sr. High as my father was the base Fire Cheif at Alconbury. My Madien name is Kenney. We left Alconbury in 1974. It was the year I would have attended Lakenheath. I spent all 4 years at Molesworth. I was bussed from Alconbury. I hung out with Gail and Avril although I have since forgotten their last names. Very excited to see if I can find old friends after all these many years.

Allo gang, (Mr Bunch? wow!) Been a bit swamped lately starting a company and chasing girls and Guiness wherever I can find them. Spent an evening with Maurice Kropp a couple of months ago in El Paso, and hung with Tim Seeley two years ago in DC (Typical Tim, he freaked me out by showing up at a party for my organization! Kept looking at him till I realized who it was!) Had been talking to Coronado but lost touch. I think he is in Kansas City... Anyway, sent a note to Tim and will call Maurice... Trying my best to make it! (thr email I am listing is to keep these out of my biz email box, it may take a bit longer, but wont get trashed as spam) Cheers, Rick

Hello everyone, really enjoyed the 2007 reunion and hooking back up with my friend and neighbor, Lori Noble (Jasna).  Her bringing her mom, and me bringing my Dad made it even more special.  Kim, thanks for all your hard work, you rock girl.  Kat

comment by Leslie Peltier

hello everyone.  My dad was Dave Peltier.  We were there in the off base housing in Molesworth.  My brother is David.  Probably from 71 to spring of 74 when we came back to the states. I was in 4th grade at Molesworth Elementary when we moved.  I had gone to Brington kindergarten.  I wish i could find the picture of me and my classmates for our class photo in front of the playground swings.  I remember there being a creek bed where we would pretend we were riding our horses up and down.  There were some girls who brought horses from the kids for riding lessons to the molesworth housing.  I remember sitting in fields behind the housing and making strings of daisy chains and blowing on dandelions.  Blackberry bushes lined one of sides, oh they were yummy!  The playground where all the kids would gather to play.  I remember my little brothers setting one of the farmers cornfield on fire.  I remember only two names from those days.  Laura and Pamela Houle.  Alot of fond memories.

comment by Jo Randles

Does anyone remember Pauline Walden or Bridie Comac?  They met some servicemen at Alconbury in 1972.  Would really like to get in touch

If you want to touch base with Alconbury folks in the "here and now," go to www.facebook.com. Lots of alumni are on the site and it's a great place to motivate friends to come to the reunion in 2010.

comment by Dan O\'Reilly

Lived in St Ives (not in the Anglo housing).  Attended Molesworth JHS 72-74, and graduated Lakenheath HS in 76.  My dad was a Chief who ran Job Control at Alconbury and was there from 72-80.  Mom was a 2nd grade teacher at Alconbury Elementary. I don't know if I'll make the reunion this year, but I'm gonna try.

Nice to see that good things still happen to service brats. I was at Molesworth and Lakenheath 66-69.I always wondered what happened to so many good people. Keep up the good work.

comment by Celestena (Johnson) Glover

I haven\'t attended any reunions so far but I thought I would sign the guest book and see if anyone out there remembers me.  I was at Alconbury (all of 6th grade) and Molesworth (all of 7th thru 9th grades) from 1970 to 1974.  I recognize a lot of the names, but I was one of the quiet kids that people probably didn\'t know.  I still have the last newspaper when MJH was closing.  It was fun to get it out and try to decipher some of the "autographs" I have.  Thank you to all that are keeping the memories alive.
