Hi everyone! I attended Molesworth from 1969-1972 and then Lakenheath during 1972& 1973. I lived at Molesworth base housing about 5 houses down from Mr. Fitzpatrick. It would be so good to reconnect with the old gang. Does anyone know the whereabouts of Alan Hart, Jeff Kinser, Mike Elkins, Jan Fillmore, or Cheryl King? It was a wonderful time in all our lives. I am saddened by those we have lost. I would love to hear from anyone who was there at the time. I currently live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Have a great day everyone! Hope to hear from someone soon!

My father was stationed at Alconbury 1968-70. My brother and I attended Molesworth whereas the other two siblings went to the base school. These were memorable years indeed. Mr. Bixby's unorthodox but effective English teaching skills via radio plays stands out. I had no idea there was this site. I searched on his name and up popped this!  My parents were collectors of furniture while there and we left with antique clocks and a whole assortment of other stuff that adorned my parents home until just last year. We move to California for a year when my Dad was deployed to Vietnam and then to Idaho where he retired and stayed. I went to college and graduate school there and eventually took a job in the Los Angeles area where I have been for 30 years. What a life we had as dependents! It was the best education anyone could ask for.

Hello fellow Spartans and Lancers - Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the reunion this year; however, I have recently reconnected with two others who attended Molesworth, Alconbury, Lakenheath during the mid-70's.  Both Dana (Yates) Traversi and Dwayne Cormier can be found on Facebook, as can I.  We lived in Yaxley, St. Ives and on base at Alconbury during my 6-year stint from 71-77.  I would love to reconnect with more of you, so please reach out if you feel so inclined. Take it easy, Rick

We were stationed on Alconbury from fall 62 until May 66. I went to Moleswoth from 62 until 64 and then went to Lakenheath 65/66. We have our 50th reunion in Tulsa this October and all are welcome. I am in touch with many that went to Lakenheath and also am good friends with several that attended Molesworth. It was quite a unique experience and we are all bonded by it. I've lost touch with some friends so if you remember me, please contact me to catch up. Life has been kind to me so I'm happy and enjoying all kinds of things. I hope you all are also.

Hello to all! This is your classmate, team mate, and pres. Russ Wilson. Special shout out to Ms. Ann Scarbrough who was my first love. And to Lou Anne Heth, Joanne Kolowski, Beverly Gomez and Felicia Johnson all of whom I never kissed but was quite infatuated with. And the ones I did kiss(Ah-hem) also. And to all of my team-mates that played in organized and pickup sports. The names are too many! Just read this guest book! You guys know it was all about team then. Thank you who voted for me for president. I was after Shaun O' and before Phillips. I was also before Barack Obama(Right on!). It was a very special time. A time after the violence of the 1960's in which the Devil intended for us to fall apart. But by the Will of God we chose to come together instead! And we're still keeping in touch, which is nothing short of a miracle. Teachers like Mr. Bunch and Mr. Snively helped us along the way and are still help us today. I am now a teacher. I miss the ones we lost. In 1973 the 10th graders didn't always like the 9th graders , and I won't mention any names(Sully), but I will forever love and remember all of you. And yes Bev, we used to drive Sgt. Gomez crazy sneaking into the NCO club at night to play pinball. Thank you Kim Morgan for making this possible.

I was surprised to come across this site when my curiosity led me  to Google Mountbatten Way! I lived in Peterborough on Mountbatten Way from 1969 to 1973.  I remember the Faucettes, Hoyles, Weatherfords, Stevens, Imburgias, and Eddingtons. I was the shy freckled-face red-head. I live outside Dallas and my brother, Danny, lives in Tucson. It's so great to see people still connecting from our past.

We all need to be getting organized for this summers reunion it will be a great weekend.

The bar is like an "adult" AYA pool table, foosball table etc. Carol and I are making a New York vacation and going up on June 14th and departing on the 20th. The Hotel is honoring the great rate Scott negoatiated for the entier stay. Also we got some very good pricing on air tickets this far out. It is not too soon to make your arrangements!!

Was feeling a bit nostalgic so clicked over to this site and got even more so!  So, I just thought I'd leave a big Hello! for everyone out there that might remember me.  We were stationed at Alconbury from December 1969 to June 1970.  That would have been 8th and 9th grade years for me.  We lived in Peterborough on Mountbatten Way along with dozens of other American families!  I was really shy in those days, not so much now!  Most people remember me as the quiet girl with short, red hair.  I currently live in Houston, Texas but think of the time spent in Europe (we were stationed there three times between 1966 and 1977) as the happiest years of my life!  I won't be able to attend the next reunion (flying is NOT a good thing for me!) but if we ever decide to have another one in Texas I'll be there!! Feel free to message me anytime!

What a great site. Just saw this for the first time and spent the next 2 hours looking at pictures and piecing back together fragmented memories of such a great and significant time in my life, and apparently so many others lives as well. It's been 39 years since we left Alconbury, yet I can look at the Football team photo and after a couple of go rounds remember at least partial names of 2/3 of the guys in it. We were thousands of miles from anything familiar, a different world really, because of our Dad's jobs, and grew up largely by leaning on each other. Thanks to all those who were friends during those shared days, and to the folks who made and maintain this site. Great times.

was at alconbury from 1980-1984 (most of 2nd grade-first couple months of 5th).  Older brother, Pete.  Younger brother, Seth.  All my teachers names began with the letter "B".  Bates, Barnes, Bernard....I'm missing one.  Remember Kevin McCormick, lee macfarland, mike Mullins.  Horse heads & King Cobras basketball "team".  I recall the rings we used to play on and flip them over the top bar, the see saws we used to launch each other off, tether ball and wristbands, when it would snow and the principal would let us run and slide (and bust our rears) on the icy blacktop.  Researching and putting on our own plays for the whole school.....one about a prediction/love machine, one about aliens.  Lived in st. Neots most of the time but back on base for about a year before moving to Germany.  The luxury buses we rode for an hour and half to get home....our bus driver that would let us jump off the bus.  The bowling alley and the dusty baseball fields, playing in jeans and black shirts with iron on letters.  4th grade field trip overnight to London, the London Dungeon...could you imagine that trip for 9 year olds today?  Hope all are well.  What a great time!

Wikipedia.org states that on January 8, 2015 it was announced that the Royal Air Force Alconbury is closing along with RAF Mildenhall and RAF Molesworth. I thought RAF Molesworth was already closed years ago. I know Wikipedia.org is the worst place to get correct information but I thought I would share. I am planning to attend my first reunion in 2017 and hope others that have never been will be like me and come because we are averaging 60 years and who knows how much longer we will be here.  Through the years I have run into people that have had something to do with the RAF's in England. I met an English woman standing in the bathroom line Christmas Eve in North Conway, New Hampshire 2 years ago (yes, no matter how old you get they never have enough bathroom stalls for the women) and she told me she learned how to drive on RAF Molesworth's flight line. Another person I met was when I car pooled to work with a woman, Jodi, that was stationed with her husband at RAF Alconbury and lived in the housing in Yaxley in the 1990's. And for you Yaxley housed brats she worked at Yax Pack Mushrooms!! Yax Pack Mushrooms is thriving and has doubled in size. At the same time I was carpooling with Jodi I started to car pool with Chuck and Chuck was a Air Force brat stationed at Mt. Home, Idaho the same time Jean Woods and I were there with our fathers who were learning to fly a new plane. Chuck's father worked the flight line. Nancy Nies and I were roommates in college and next door to us our freshman year was Jane Taylor from RAF Lakenheath. It really is a small world.  Looking forward to seeing everyone in 2017 and hopefully I would have dropped the extra weight and have something left of my memory. So if I look familiar to you and I walk right past you just grab me I will be very appreciative.

I lived at RAF Alconbury from 1971-1977 and attended both Molesworth JHS and Lakenheath HS.  I was in the graduating class of '78 so I did not actually graduate from Lakenheath as we relocated back to the States just before my senior year.  Even though I am not a Lakenheath grad, I feel more connected to that group since I only attended my high school in Virgina for only 1 year.  It would be great to reconnect with anyone who was around at that time.

Congratulations to all who attended Molesworth Junior High! I taught  English & math 1964-65. Probably the best teaching assignment in my  career. I often think about the greatest kids I have taught. Most of you probably don't remember much of what I taught in English or Math, but will never forget the outdoor education trip for my seventh graders at Camp Mohawk. You were the first "brats" to ever participate in this type of  activity. I hope the program was carried on in future years. Would like to hear from former students and how things worked out in your lives. Mr.Clarke

Yesterday, my parents celebrated 57 years of marriage.  MSGT Louis Johnson was stationed at Alconbury AFB from 1972-1975.

I am a Molesworth/Alconbury Jr High School alumi, while my older sister Felecia Johnson-Paxton had the additional privilege of attending Lakenheath High School.  (even back then, she informed me that no matter where we ended up, the ONLY 'reunion' she would ever attend would be the one for Lakenheath High)

The England experience turned out to be the best years of our developing adolecence years. Never to be forgotten. Truly this is why we travel to support these renunions. Upon arrival, the experience feels as if family has gathered.  Even though attendees are people whose only connection is a place randomly selected through some one elses military affiliation. The kiniship that takes place is nothing short of magical.  Amazing but true.

My sister and I remain continually grateful to the organizers and sustainers of this awesome event.  New York will be our third reunion and we would not miss it for anything.

I encourage all who can, to please join us.  You will not regret the time spent and like us, you too, will be hooked on the England 'family' get togethers.

See you in New York 2017

I only knew the name "Alconbury Spartans" because it was also used by the USAF guys who raced stock cars in the 1960's.  They and their colleagues at Chelveston were famous for their vigorous driving and their enviable access to big US V-8 engines.
Ted Janes was one:

Went to Alconbury elementary in 66, then moved on to Molseworth until the end of 1968 when my dad was transferred back to the states.  Remember all the field trips?
Many places we went for basically free that people pay thousands to go to...and never have the fun we did.
How may rushed home to watch Blue Peter?  Not many choices on television back then.  Then there was the seemingly never ending daylight in the summer.
Fond memories...heck I think I even have a class picture of my 6th grade class taken for 1967-1968.......

Just like everybody else found this site by accident . Dad was stationed at Alconbury,we lived in Peterbourgh from 69 to 70 I think maybe a little bit longer (Parents got divorced came back to the states waaayyyy to early) there was 7 of us but my sisters Patricia, Cindy and I went to Molesworth . We lived on Mountbatten Way with the Zieglers ,Fausettes , Cliff Sexton funny I can remember names back then but now forget it:) and I think there was an english bloke named Tony I wish I knew his last name he played american football pretty good also there was a girl last name Quesinberry I think she lived on that street also. Man those memories are coming back. I played football 1 year for the school maybe that will jar some memories of some of the players played right guard and end. And by the way does anybody that lived on Mountbatten Way know what happened to my 2 baseball gloves I had. Never came back with my rest of my stuff. Thinking about writing a story about my life in England with my parents divorcing and all and how my life and my siblings changed drastically and I always wanted to end the story with those 2 baseball gloves  . Crazy concept oh well  Hope to hear from anybody from the school or anybody that lived on Mountbatten Way. and by the way I go by Joe now always hated Gerald

hello everyone.  My dad was Dave Peltier.  We were there in the off base housing in Molesworth.  My brother is David.  Probably from 71 to spring of 74 when we came back to the states. I was in 4th grade at Molesworth Elementary when we moved.  I had gone to Brington kindergarten.  I wish i could find the picture of me and my classmates for our class photo in front of the playground swings.  I remember there being a creek bed where we would pretend we were riding our horses up and down.  There were some girls who brought horses from the kids for riding lessons to the molesworth housing.  I remember sitting in fields behind the housing and making strings of daisy chains and blowing on dandelions.  Blackberry bushes lined one of sides, oh they were yummy!  The playground where all the kids would gather to play.  I remember my little brothers setting one of the farmers cornfield on fire.  I remember only two names from those days.  Laura and Pamela Houle.  Alot of fond memories.

Hello and so nice to read all the messages.  I attended Molesworth 1967 - 1970.  Pat Mendiola and Mary Lynn McKee were my closest friends , but clearly remember so many others.  I leave in bossier City  Louisiana but am temporarily living in New Orleans for a work assignment.  Glad to hear the next reunion will be in the Big Easy.

Hi, everyone!  Went looking for this page because Cheryl Trent asked me if I was going to the next reunion and I didn't know anything about it, so thought I'd look it up.  My dad was stationed at Alconbury from December 1969 to May 1971 and I attended Molesworth Jr. High for half of 8th grade and most of 9th grade. We lived in Peterborough, about halfway between the Weatherfords and the Faussetes.  Looking at the pictures on this site certainly brings back great memories.  That was our second tour in England and I have always felt more at home there than I do anywhere in the States.  I'm currently living in Houston and I really miss the cool weather in England!  Oh yeah, in case you don't remember the name I was the REALLY shy girl with short red hair and glasses who sometimes hung out with Glenda Higgins and Cheryl Trent.  I was the only girl (and 8th grader) in one of Mr. Craven's Algebra I classes.  I'd love to hear from fellow classmates and the neighborhood kids from Peterborough!

I went to Alonbury Elementray from 1981-1984. I can't even find the school on google maps. What happened to it? I had MIss Cooper in 1st grade, Miss Newsome in 2nd, Mrs. Calzini in 3rd, and Mrs. Louder in 3rd or 4th. She was a new teacher (Southen accent). When she came they split the 3rd grade classes up and I got scwitched, THANK GOD. She was SUCH a nicer teacher! I had a stomache ache everyday in the other class :-(                                                                                I'm wondering, could it be possible any of them are still there? Not likely being a base school, but just thought I'd ask. Would love to know where my teachers and classmates went to.

I attended Alconbury Elementary from 1970-1974.  One of my teachers was Mrs. Merrill (can't remember other names), classmates Ricky Black, Ted? Maria? (I must have Alzheimers!). I especially remember a field trip to York, and many trips to plays in London.  I have an older brother David and younger brother Dale.  Let me know if there is anyone out there that has the same memories.

My dad was at Alconbury from 1966 until late 1968, and I attended Molesworth and Lakenheath (for all of three weeks until my dad was transferred).  Still have yearbooks from 1967 and 1968.  Like many of you, these were the best years of my young life.  I still think our teachers were among the best I ever had.  I can remember flying back and thinking how brown and dirty the States were (after England).

I just found this site and think it is wonderful!! We were stationed in Alconbury from 70- 75.  My sister Karen & I went to Molesworth.  Those were some of the best times of my life.  I have lost touch with everyone from then.  It is really good to see some of the familiar names.  It makes the memories come flooding back.  We lived in off base housing (Huntingdon & Yaxley).  This is a great site!

I haven't attended any reunions so far but I thought I would sign the guest book and see if anyone out there remembers me.  I was at Alconbury (all of 6th grade) and Molesworth (all of 7th thru 9th grades) from 1970 to 1974.  I recognize a lot of the names, but I was one of the quiet kids that people probably didn't know.  I still have the last newspaper when MJH was closing.  It was fun to get it out and try to decipher some of the "autographs" I have.  Thank you to all that are keeping the memories alive.

We were at Alconbury for only a year. I went to 7th grade at MJH 68-69. Some friends were Mark Moody, Phillip Church, Scott Comer, Jim Smart, Susan Adams, Debi Gallant, Pat Condon. I worked in the UK in '02-03, and tried to visit Molesworth for nostalgia's sake. Very heavy security because of the joint services intel operation there now, and no one gets on without official business. But I was able to get onto Alconbury with no problem. It had changed remarkably little, and many areas were easily recognizable from the late 60s.

Also, a guy whose 1st name was Garth. I also remember what a great school Alconbury was...all the great programs that haven't compared to... all the other schools my sisters and I attended while stationed at different bases. I just found the Molesworth Facebook page. Iwas at Molesworth Elemetary for the last part of 4th grade, went o Alconbury ES (5&6th), Moleworth JHS in 72 & 73,  After we PCS'd I went to Offutt for 18 months, and then we went to Zweibruecken Germany (Class of 77) where I graduated.  My family PCS'd Stateside, however I was in love & stayed in Germany.  I found a job on the local economy and worked contruction for three years. I married the girl that kept me in Germany (28 years of marriage & still going)and joined the USAF.  My first duty station was Zweibruecken AB, in the same squadron that my  dad was in. I retired after 24 years and currently work for the US Corps of Engineers In New Orleans while living in Ocean Springs MS.
I don't know why I never looked for Molesworth before this.  Kim Morgan steered me to this page. I have on occasion looked for people I could remember names of, without success. I found Michael Barefoot on this page. (hey Mike do you have a facebook page?) I did not get a year book.

I do have some interesting memories: from England, how about running from Ken Kline and diving out the the bowling alley window to get away. He was trying to collect the blue football jersey I had, so I ran (the team was changing to Red).

Hello all. I don't know if anyone remembers me but I was at Molesworth from 68-70 and was a dormie at Lakenheath from 70-71. We moved back to the states in 71 and I graduated from high school in Oklahoma in 72. I still live in Oklahoma today. Found this website today after a friend from Lakenheath sent the link. I browsed through the photos and found what looks like me standing in the background of the "cutting up in class 1970" picture. If my memory serves me right, that is Calvin Herron in the foreground. Anyway, just thought I would sign in and say hi.

Wow is about all I can say.  I stumbled on this site by accident!  Of the many schools my sisters and I attended Molesworth has always been a topic of conversation for us.  Waiting for the bus in the cold damp fog, the long bus rides, the 'go home yanks' signs in the windows of the local school buses, and the freedom we felt at the school, and that d___ typing class! We attended Molesworth during the 72/73 and 73/74 school years.

Wow, I'm still trying to absorb this site even exists.  Thanks Kim for all your hard work and same to all the rest of you Spartans working so hard to keep our precious memories alive.  Went to Alconbury 68-72, Moleswork 72 and left for "the States".  Still giddy over the pictures and slideshows.  My daughter's looking over my shoulder, now she knows what I've been talking about all these years.   If I have any old friends out there feel free to get in contact.  I found Bambi Ringer......she turned me on to this site.

Hi!  So great that someone built this site.  I was just thinking of Molesworth and wondered if there were any pics online of the old school. Never even considered there would be an alumni site.  WOW!!! My sister Cindy and I attended Molesworth from 1969 to 1971.  Dad was stationed at Alconbury, and then got a compassionate transfer to come back to the states to help take care of his mom.
I haven't attended any of the reunions, but I'm so glad that you have made this site, to reconnect.  I have an old class picture and will try to scan and send to you for info.  Thanks so much and be blessed always.

I cannot believe I found this site. After all these years, the memories of Molesworth and Alconbury came rushing back as if it were yesterday! I had some great times over there. I would love to attend the reunion. Kathy Pare' are you the sister of Lori Pare'? We hung out when we lived in Chelveston. Pam Ray (Eckels) are you Kathy Eckels' sister? She was a great friend. I would love to get in touch with either one of those ladies.

Hi !

So many memories flooding back, Moleshole...
Long twice daily bus rides through the foggy english countryside to our military quanset hut type school.

Running cross country and never quite catching Jackie Faussette, Ms. Davis typing/shorthand classes , speed tests Stefanie,  Beverly, and Siobahn.

Maxi/midi coats and boots, host nation class, soccer,  a certain song that I think Butch Jackson always sang can't think of title at the moment but when I hear it (takes me back)

We moved there from Spain in 1970-1973  and lived in Huntingdon, then on base very 1st street after MP gate next door to Joanne and Karen Koloski.

Mike Reid, Eddie Bleiler, Russell Mayes, my brothers knew some of those guys. Bob and Chuck Sherrill, they attended the very 1st reunion in Dallas. They told me they saw the Porters and Lackeys, and so many others and had a great time.
I remember so many of you, and recognized so many names!!
Umteen yrs. ago I was working in a store, 1st part time job, in a then unknown town in Texas and who comes down an aisle- in all the towns and cities in the USA,  Bev Gomez, made me think what a small world it really is, and then I saw her again in a crowd at Six Flags!!!

How great to reconnect/remember with those that shared that time together overseas.

I'm  sentimental, enjoyed the photos, wonderful site Kim!
Hope to hear from any of you.

Much love,

Deb

And well, here I am.
I played on the Jr. Spartens in '74 also, linebacker jersey #58. My dad coached that year.

I'll see what i can do to find some pics and get them on here...

This is AMAZING!!! I stumbled upon this reunion website earlier today and I've been waxing nostalgic ever since. I've already emailed several people and heard back from two so far—Estella Shortridge, who was my first love, and Diane Scott, Estella's best pal.

I haven't seen any of you for 35 years+ and this is sooooo cool. From looking at the photos on the website I can see that Wayne Sullivan hasn't changed at bit. Wayne I would love to hear what's going on with Gail and Gary. Hope all is well.

As soon as I can dig up some old photos I'll upload them. It's great to see pics of the Everett's, Chris Metz, Mr. Snively, Carol Comer, Rory Alexander, Sheri Woolf, Mr. Bunch and others. It's also great to see pics of the ol' stompin' grounds—the AYA and RAF Molesworth.

Anybody ever hear from any of my old 1974 Jr. Spartan football teammates? I played wide receiver, Keith and Terry Baker were halfbacks, Mike Pollack was our quarterback, Eddie Norton was another receiver and Billy James was our linebacker. I saw that my teammate Paul Ristow has already signed in and I've sent him an email and I'm waiting to hear back.

Again, this is soooo cool!! Thanks to everyone who has had a part in putting this nostalgic tool together.

Peace and blessing,
Darryl Wilson

I have wondered for years where I could contact people I went to school with at Molesworth. Though I stayed in trouble most of the time, those years of...66, 67,  68. They were so memerable and fun.  I recognise some of the names in the alumni list such as Debbie and Sherry Pastere..they were sisters. Mark Serrency..He and his brother came to Engand from somewhere in Florida and boy did my best friend Sheri McKnight have a big crush on Mark's brother (can't remember his first name).  Mark was always easy to talk into somekind of craziness Sherri would think up. And Vicki Church.  She was a very good girl and never in trouble and every one liked her.  I have 2 old molesworth yearbooks that I will get out and if I can figure how to put them on this site, I will ( for some of us ole timers).
Just another short story.  Sheri and I were in some class sitting in the back . The teacher had to step out , well sheri and I snuck out a window and ran over to the building where the office was.. snuck into the girls restroom, stopped up all the sinks with toilet paper along with all the toilets, flushed the toilets and turned all the water on snuck back into class before the teaher came back. The halls were flooded! They thought it was done by sheri and I but could not prove it .  Think we were bored??

Hey Michael -- since you can get on base being a retiree, how about photos of Alconbury -- even if the buildings are no longer there!

Alconburians: DON'T FORGET TO VOTE ON WHERE YOU'D LIKE THE NEXT REUNION IN 2010! So far, Denver leads, Vegas is second, and it's a tie between Chicago and Vail. It's also not too late for suggestions, although these four were in the top choices of those who have voted.

Is it too late to vote on the location for the next reunion? I just discovered your website. My vote is Vail also. Another alternative might be Copper Mountain in the Rocky Mountains, not far from Vail. A great little ski town that offers lots of condos, restaurants and large conference (party) areas during the summer months. Instead of hotels, they offer 2-3 bedroom condos at a very reasonable summer rate. Lots of hiking, fishing, etc. Kim, if you will send me your address I can send you a barrage of info about Copper Mountain. I just returned from a conference there. -Pamela

Hi Kim! The radio just happened to play an old Roberta Flack song, "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and it brought back fond memories of days spent in the Day Room, long bus rides, and the dorm life at Lakenheath (and the time we were playing hooky, ditched our suitcases in the back hall of the hospital only to find they had evacuated it thinking the alarm clock in our suitcase was a bomb!). I wondered how I could make a link to the past, some of my old friends, and found your wonderful website! I've already contacted several names from the past. Thank you! -Pamela Dickson

What up!  I would like to have the 2010 reunion at the AYA on Alconbury Air Force base.  Or better yet the bowling alley.  Or even better than that, the NCO club.  Do I have any takers.  Alright Alright lets have it in a city where the travel time to and from the hotel is minimal.  I am sure people do not want to rent a car and spend their time riding to and from the airport. You want to be able to get in a cab and be at the hotel quickly.  These are just a few things to keep in mine.  Later, Scott Comer

Not sure if I'll make it to the reunion in July, but thought I'd post a note for fun. After so many years I still have fond memories of living in England and being lucky enough to attend school there. In fact it made such impression on me that my wife and I lived in Chester, England for a year and then moved over to Italy for 2 years before we had kids. After the kids we have lived in the states (variety of states) and have only travelled back to England and Europe for vacations and some occassional short term work. Presently we live in Vermont and have found this to be one of our favorate places in the states. Going through the web site I was able to recognize a few names, but could not put specifics to any of them. Terrilbe I know, but then again this is not me - putting names and faces together. Allo gang, (Mr Bunch? wow!) Been a bit swamped lately starting a company and chasing girls and Guiness wherever I can find them. Spent an evening with Maurice Kropp a couple of months ago in El Paso, and hung with Tim Seeley two years ago in DC (Typical Tim, he freaked me out by showing up at a party for my organization! Kept looking at him till I realized who it was!) Had been talking to Coronado but lost touch. I think he is in Kansas City... Anyway, sent a note to Tim and will call Maurice... Trying my best to make it! (thr email I am listing is to keep these out of my biz email box, it may take a bit longer, but wont get trashed as spam) Cheers, Rick

I was at Alconbury from 1975-1979, I played football for the Sr. Spartans 77-78. I remember the Threee Horseshoes Pub and buying booze there and sliding under the fence by the base, going to the AYA dances and the Spartan Rest.

This just keeps getting "gooder and gooder". Several weeks ago I spoke with Greg Bolden....I hadn't talked with him in over 35 years. He resides in Ohio now and has been traveling to Maryland, over the years, to attend his family reunion. The location he visits is only about 15 minutes from where I live. By the way, hi Beverly, your not alone, I too have an occasion to attend....I join you in your toast. The second part of the "gooder and gooder" feeling is recently noticed kim Filmore's email address on the site and sent her a message. Ok.....everybody chill, I'm married....she's married.....and there is no intent in my mind to cause any problems. I didn't even think that I would receive any answer....I was very pleased when she did answer. The last time I spoke with her I was told not to call long distance again. You see, the telephone bill was getting a bit out of hand. (smile) It was good to hear from her and to know she's doing well. Who knows, maybe I'll get a chance to speak with her on the telephone again....or even say hi to her at a future reunion.

Kudos as always to Kim - what a special person! I've been able to attend four of the past reunions and don't remember ever laughing or smiling more. I want to attend so badly this year and hook up with my "old" buds but will be at my step-son's wedding the same weekend in Oklahoma. I will drink a toast to you all (well maybe more than one)! To all you guys who snuck in the NCO Club - Mr. Gomez is still going strong!

Telephone: 618-541-2298 If anyone would like to share a 2 bedroom suite @$375 a night with me and my brother Allen, please contact me ASAP. If we get a 2 room suite @ $375.00 for a total cost of around $750 I think that 3 of us could go in together and share a 2 bedroom, that would work out great! It would be about $225 each for a two-night stay. Call me at the above #.

The reunions always spawn mini-reunions. I had mine when Andre Everett came to town this past December 27th. He stopped by my house with his son and daughter and a friend, and we had a great visit, while our kids played together.

Thanks to Kim for getting this site up and maintaining it. It's a strange thing to be at this place in my short life and to still have the yearning to connect with others that are of the like experience that is only shared by the initiated, military brats. Drop a line when you can. Never know who you will find. Later, Mike

I attended schools at Molesworth and Alconbury from 1970-1975. Made it to a reunion in 1990 (I think) and it was a lot of fun to see familiar faces all grown up! I won't be at this reunion but I'm sure it will be a great time for all who are able to make it.

Our family was stationed at RAF Alconbury from 1969-1973. I attended Molesworth from '69-70, and Lakenheath, Home of the Lancers! from '71-72. It will be wonderful to connect once again with the special people that I love dearly from my (our) past and to introduce the wonderful present in my life. See you in Williamsburg! :)

Hi everyone, Kim....great site, I've enjoyed browsing through the different links. i remember a few of the names; Steve, Mark, Shaun, etc. It is truly amazing to link up with the past like that. I have been looking for Greg Bolden, Kim Filmore, Karen Lawson, Tim Scott.....I could go on an on. Although my time was cut short there, it's kinda nice to know there will be a reunion. Unfortunately, I may not be available to attend. I am in my brother's wedding that same weekend. I may still have to work something out though. :-) He might need a new best man. Anyway, keeep on keeping on, Bill

I was at the last reunion in West Palm Beach. It was my first since I graduated in 1977 and it was amazing to see everyone and reconnect. It was just like old times and so much fun. I cried when I had leave everyone and can't wait until July 2007. It's like being with family again. We all have a unique bond together that can't be found anywhere else. See you in Williamsburg!

Hi, Kim & everybody. Hope I'll be able to make the reunion. There's a possibility we'll be having a family reunion that same weekend so I'll just have to wait and see. My husband and I just returned from 8 days in London with my former roommate at Lakenheath, Doris (White) Buckhannon, and her husband; and her brother, Dave White, who graduated a year ahead of us, and another friend. We had a blast (other than the security hell and subsequent delays at the airports). Do you anticipate having many Lakenheath-ians (Lakenheath-ites??) from the classes of '71 and '72???

The first Alconbury Reunion was held in 1985 in Dallas, TX. Since then, we have had four more reunions: 1990 in West Palm Beach, FL; 1992 and 1995 in Dallas, TX; and 2001 in West Palm Beach, FL. The reunions are emotionally rewarding experiences and just plain fun! Our group is unique and special, and after 33+ years, the bonds remain unbroken.
